Oil change and camper

Went for my free oil change at a different place then I went for the
alignment. The new place said I needed tires, failed to mention gear box
was leaking everywhere, didn't mention brake problem or engine shutting
off problem. So do I take their word or do I go with original places
assestment of my truck lol.
Camper was pure junk, lifted roof and it started falling apart put lid
down, fell apart even more

Trailer fund

Just started my trailer fund. Going to look at 2 pop up campers
tomorrow with a price range of $100 to $150. Will get the best looking
one. Will have to find some place to store it until I move to montello.
Both will need new canvas but I plan to build solid walls once in
montello so canvas will be useless to replace.

Stupid monkey

I bought rainx windshield washing fluid for my truck today. Got home,
windshield washing lever didn't work. I just took apart windshield
washing unit in truck for no reason. Couldn't figure why it wasn't
working, checked fuse, hooked up 6v battery to pump and it worked. Then
I just pushed in on button on end of lever it magically works. 4 minute
project just became over and hour...

Harbor freight tools

Really cool and nice of them. Store prices were higher then web but they
matched their web prices for me, because I could pull up prices from my
cell phone..

harbor freight tools

Been here since 650am waiting for them to open. Another 5 minutes and I
should be in the door. Getting a hitch for my truck. Will need them if I get a pop up camper this weekend.
Found 2 that are $150 and $100 but both need work done to them to get
them livable. Found a place near here that says its $300 a month
including water and electric for RVs so I asked if a pop up would be
good enough. If it is, then I will setup camp there and see what works
and doesn't work until august.

Pallet sales sucked

Apparently its not $5 a pallet. Its $3 a pallet in mint condition or
$1.25 a pallet not mint. Apparently blue pallets can't be resold, so
those will be used to build houses and cabins..

Pallets and pallets

Well I found many sources for pallets. I have 10 in the truck, think I
can fit 20 in at a time. That's $100 a load to the pallet store. takes
about 10 minutes to load 20 pallets on truck, once they are found. Maybe
even less time. Thinking of picking a homeless guy up and paying him 50
cents to a dollar per pallet he loads. Wish there was a way to load more
then 20 pallets at a time. My main goal is to find 70 pallets a week.
Then I can retire from my job. Take less then an hour to make my
paycheck. That's really really sad...

Awesome building materials

UPS guy who brings the pallets of stuff to work notified me the jc penny
store has a huge dumpster full of either oak or pine shelves. Must get
to this dumpster and see what I can use. Only problem is, its 2500 miles
from montello and getting it there will be a problem..

Pallets pallets

I have collected 10 of them this week. Would have been 12 but someone
stole 2 before I bought a chain and lock. But I found 2 in the neighbors
back yard who stole my yard trailer, so I might go reclaim my trailer
and take the pallets while I am at it.

Flea Market finds

Going to flea market tomorrow to find more supplies!!! Might pick up another drill or another larger bike wheel. Saw a bunch of stuff at yard sales last week, but i am still recovering from truck purchase :)

Donation from Trevor Cohen

UPDATE ON THIS SCAMMER!!!!

Our friend that is passing away has informed us that his donation for
the water tank is on its way. As soon as it arrives, we will be
purchasing the tank and having it delivered to Monkey Bone Ranch. Thank
you very much Mr Cohen of England. Hopefully he lives long enough to
come visit us and see our little community.

Another wind turbine idea

Going to find a junk bike and a belt or rope and attach a motor to it
and as I exercise I will see if it does the same as my bike wheel and
drill does. If it does, I will use it in nevada as part of my exercise
program.

Another unique house

Going to collect some shipping pallets and do another experiment. Will
take about 51 pallets to build a cabin my future wife wants. I get about
2 pallets a day from work. Will try to build a simple small structure in
back yard and see how it goes.

Wind turbine test again

Bent a nut to stop wheel from free spinning. Now bike axle spins the
whole drill head. I had a friend hold and watch the multimeter. On
setting #10 had constant 3.0 and highest of 3.22v from hand spinning. On
setting 24 I got as high as 2.90v and on setting 1 got 0.32v Im thinking
I may get 12v if I attach the drill to a stationary bike. Would be a
great exercise activity. But maybe 7mph winds would spin it. All depends
on constant wind speeds in the valley. Will get a blocking diode this
week. Have to find a way to stop it from spinning opposite way which
makes the volts negative. I really can't believe this simple tech works
for charging batteries..

All beware TIRES PLUS AUTO CARE

Went 4 alignment, 2 HOURS later, they claimed my gear box was leaking
all over the place, truck wouldn't stay running, brake petal went all
the way to the floor. I drove truck over 100 miles yesterday, stayed
running whole time, gear box leaking everywhere would leave puddles when
I park, I was at flea market, no puddle, at work, no puddle, at
concession stand, no puddle, driveway at house, no puddle. My brake
petal never reached the floor ever.. Well I saved $99 alignment money
and caught a scam company in the process... will take elsewhere next
week.

Wind turbine project construction

Ok couple of problems. Yes youtube video told the truth. During test,
bike wheel does blow with no fins. But to generate the volts, trigger
needs to be engaged, and the head needs to spin, not just the wheel.
Have to lock the axle of bike wheel somehow so it spins the whole drill
head. My test results were 1.5v to 2.5v just hand spinning. But if I can
lock the axle and have wind we can make enough volts to charge batteries
for montello.

Wind turbine constructed

Got the parts did a trial, it worked see the picture below

Wind turbine project shopping

As soon as its 930am eastern I am packing up my stuff at flea market
then I can shop for wind turbine materials, a cordless 12v or 14.sv
drill and a bike wheel.. Will build it saturday along with solar
heater.

Thermometer test

110 degrees inside my car at 730pm in florida during sunset time. Did
not make the solar heater that's just the temp inside a florida car.

Solar heater project

Got a thermometer today. Didn't have time to get to flea market to get a
12v drill to take apart and make the wind turbine with it along with a
bicycle wheel.

New Adopt a Goat Program

Support our Goat Program:
Adopt a Goat

Monkey Bone Ranch's goats are of the alpine breed, capable of producing almost a gallon of milk each day for Montello area poor children & their families. When you "adopt" a milk goat, you are taking a concrete, solid step to turn the tide away from human suffering from malnutrition and illnesses stemming from a lack of nutrition and instead provide the conditions for healthy, productive, fulfilling lives for those in need.

What does adopting a goat entail? By adopting a goat, you help provide for its food, its annual shots, wormings, hoof trimmings, vitamin supplements, and any additional health care necessary for its optimum health, well-being, and productivity. You do not actually own the goat; ownership stays with Monkey Bone Ranch; rather your adoption helps cover the cost of caring for the goat so that it can do its best to feed hungry people: Besides the milk the females produce, all the goats -males & females- boost vegetable & fruit production by adding fertility to the soil and by eradicating noxious weeds.

You have no work responsibilities for the goat, but you are welcome to come visit your goat whenever the farm is open. Goats are extremely affectionate and love receiving handfuls of grain from their adopting human parents! You just need to schedule a time with our herdsman by emailing.

By the way, Goat Adoptions make terrific gifts!!:
If you adopt a goat in honor of another person, we will send via Email a gift card in your name to the person you specify with your personalized message (if you designate one), and attach to that email the goat adoption certificate, the biographical data on the specific goat adopted, and a color photograph of the adopted goat.

General Information about goats: Goats have very distinctive personalities; they all have a great sense of humor, and are extremely smart. They are Houdini-like escape artists that learn how to untie knots & unlock locks to get out of wherever they are, just for the heck of it! Goats can live twice as long as dogs, and make just as loyal a companion.

Truck update

May have got too big a truck, takes up my whole driveway....might not be
that big of truck when you compare I have been driving a small japanese
car for the last 3 years.. but the bigger the truck, the better for the
high desert roads. More goats and other supplies I can haul at one time.
My gas budget to get to montello however has gone up to $405 on todays
gas prices.. My driveway in montello will be huge so this truck won't
take up the whole drive way..

Yes yes finally a truck

Got a 1995 FORD F150. Its white, dual fuel tanks, 128000 miles. Has a
bed liner, tinted windows, cold AC. Pictures to come when I get home.

Tubes for project heater

Well I had a picture of the tubes and just deleted it instead of
attaching it to the post... they looked like blueprint tubes but were
clear with black end caps. They were $1 a piece at the yard sale. Bought
2 since that's all they had. Figure they should do the same job as a
stack of empty cans, but it will be easy since they are in one piece.
Just need to paint them black. I may try to see if I can bleach water
with them first to purify the water. If so may not use them for the
heater project.

Portable AC plans

Found Portable AC plans I bought many years ago for my small 1988 chevy sprint. Worked great in hot hot florida sun. I am trying to upload them so everyone can download them for free.

Rev Mike Solar Heater

His heater is very promising. I plan to make one myself, but with out cans. Just make a maze like I saw on a website. Once I am done making it, I will take pictures and upload it.
If his results are as good as they seem, my question is why are they not attached to every single house that needs heat and has sunlight beaming down at it.!!!!
