All packed and ready

Have to stop by my store clear it out and be on my way to Nevada. Plan
to be cleared out by 11am at latest. I'm so excited I probably won't
sleep. Hopefully my friend shows up so it can be done quickly so I can
jump on interstate....

Last shave

Just shaved for the last time with an electric razor. Hopefully last
shave for a long time... Only the desert my land and wildlife to
impress once I get to Montello. Just finished cleaning the cab of my
truck, going to finish loading clothes into the cab and my personal
items. Supplies in the truck bed covered in tarps should be weather
tight till I get to Montello.

10x5 storage in my 8x5 truck bed

all my supplies are packed and loaded in the back of my truck. nothing
like moving my 12x10 shed in a box again. 400 pounds one man. my 2
fuel containers, generator, solar panels, propane stove, solar lights,
crank lights. found my 4 sleeping bags, my 14 camping tents, (2)55
gallon barrels, work boots, 3 tarps, one 10x10 pop up tent, tent
stakes, 2 solar showers, folder 6 ft table, grills, beer tub/ bath
tub, 1 spare tire. all I will need is tools to construct the shed,
food, water, cookware. did I mention all of that firs in my 8x5 truck
bed with the cab of truck has loads of room left over and more space
still in bed of truck....

Unloading all my electronics

Taking all my electronics to a local store, they say they will sell them on ebay and 21 days later I will be paid for them. So 21 days after I get to montello, I should have a check..

composting for hot water

looks like you make a compost pile and then you can have hot water from this setup.

June 1st

got back from vacation liquidating anything that won't fit in my truck
or a trailer... June 1st game plan is to hit the road and make it to
montello by the 10th. going to go slow and steady. this will be my
first time going west of the mississippi river. debating Texas route
or northern states. just hope truck and belongings all make it safely
too..

interesting building findings

I hammered PVC pipe in the ground to hang a banner for my store. then
I saw in Mongolia that made yurts. why could I not hammer PVC pipes
into the Nevada land connect the pipes and cover with heavy fabric?
PVC pipe for my banners was quite cheap.
I also saw an episode of mythbusters who used duct tape to build a
bridge. would I not be able to wrap the PVC structure in duct tape to
make it water proof? just more ideas for building on the cheap....
hopefully June 1st I'll be on my way to building something in Montello.

May Update

I am going on vacation next week and when I return I'm closing my shop
and heading to Nevada. this is my plan but will it turn out to be my
reality? as some of you know my life situation really needs help.
Montello will def help that out I am hoping. just me my shed and my
new friends.
